Hyvää vappua! Klara vappen! Happy vappu! It's vappu day in Finland and it's custom that people goes to the picnic or goes to see events of labor movements. I personally prefer the picnics. This year it was sunny and warm weather to have a picnic. Temperature was around 15 degrees. I'm sure it was much warmer than 15 degrees, at least it felt like it.
I went to Ullanlinnanmäki with my friend. It's the most famous place to have a picnic on 1st of May in Helsinki. This year it was full of people, thanks to the beautiful weather.

I packed my blanket, finger food (chopped carrots and cucumbers), wasabi flavored cream cheese and a bottle of sima I also packed expendable dishes like plates. I bought gluten free crackers, brezelns and paprika flavored rice cakes. O yes, and strawberries!

I think we sat in Ullanlinnanmäki about 2,5 hours enjoying the lovely weather. I even tried to sunbathe. I like to have a nice tan for summer so better start now to have it :)
Summer is coming and I love it! :)
